another day mixed with joy and annoyance

My dad is same as yesterday, but that's not as good as Sunday. He's back on a ventilator and sedated so visiting him isn't much of an option given he has diarrhea... the smell hits you as you enter his ICU room. Anyways, he's fine breathing and hip-wise... just not getting the secretions cleared from his lungs.

magnifying the lack of response

I must bore people or annoy them it seems when I get a universal silence to direct messages and texts. Taking naps makes the day seem like days, thus making the feeling of being ignored more enhanced.
Oh well, on with my existence I tread as if snail mail was my means of contact.

annoyed again

Broke my sink's drain clearing a clog. I caulked it to Dylan-rig a quick fix, but my leak came from elsewhere. Teflon tape isn't sealing the trap. Something seems stripped. I messed with it before bed and then messed with the knob of a door that isn't opening and closing the door I installed. Ace sold me a defective one it would seem.
My dad seems better from what I've been told, but anything would be better than how he seemed last night.

that stupid feeling of annoyance

I'm not sure how productive I've been, but I am slowly getting stuff done off my stupid list. I have a lot of distractions. Bulk of list is my promise of completing our main bathroom, but there are odd things I have never finished.

Monday, reflected

So Robin Williams kills himself and the internet ceases to move ahead?
Meh. Suicides should be forgotten and left alone. They chose their end, why bother them anymore?
My clock is fast. I awoke thinking it later than it was because it was set fast. Throwing breakers to see which was wired to dw was adventurous on Thursday. Regardless, dw wasn't a thing squared today given the family outing to Magic Castle.
Felt horridish early with back issues from work... I'm getting old. So much to do, but I'm not in the mood to do such and what not.

ignorant bliss

Ignorance is bliss. If you never had a smartphone, then any smartphone is an upgrade. I still dislike certain app versions of things, so elements of the smartphone I have are meh in the good sense. There are so many apps in Google Play that I did a search of best apps and wasn't impressed by the consensus the list implied. So far I utilize:

  1. Iheartradio
  2. Gasbuddy
  3. Google maps
  4. Chrome
I'm using others, but not like the above. I have no desire for games, but I would like something to track spending ASU, since Hal is unplugged due to needing his surge protector elsewhere.
I was using twitter app, but I wasn't GSD as a result of it.
Week is almost over, hopefully D's appointment is uneventful. I'm off on a Friday for the first time since my paternity leave.
Found out my old job currently requires a quarter of the effort I was expected to give. School will probably fold, so I'd be worried about that if I were still there.

deja vü or I have been everywhere

So I went to pick up the cake from Elé as my favor to J, and I swear I have come across the girl, who took forever to retrieve the cake, before somewhere else. She had a tattoo on her neck, so maybe a gave her a placement assessment a few years ago?

Wednesday recap/ Thursday preview

J was off, so I slept in. I went to the girls' appt, and my day was forgettable aside from my mom calling to tell me an old neighbor died. She was 54, but ceased being our neighbor 30 years ago. She used to watch me on my days off from kindergarten until my mom felt guilty since she wouldn't take money and started making me watch gameshows and soaps at a woman's house who took money. Jan's son would be home in the afternoon from his kindergarten while Shirly's was in the same school as me but on the opposite schedule.
I must have been five a very long time for I remember it better than other years.
J stayed with D throughout the day, so I went to Aldi and Home Depot alone. Spent more than I intended at the latter, but only since I'm not sure I can fix my Toro weed trimmer which spewed gasoline last time I used it. Ryobi has a battery/plug-in hybrid that wasn't hatefully priced.
I was annoyed by the rain getting into my car.
Made tacos for dinner. Took a nap before work. Work went quickly though I did little due the day of rain. Now its bedtime with dread for a repeat of today on Thursday.
Meh.

grumpy Tuesday

So far, I'm not fond of the day's start. Crying does that. Changed diaper and offered bottle, so I need to be alert earlier than my body wants. Meh. Gotta do what I gotta do.

weekend preview

Feeling tired. I may not dmt this post since I didn't nap before work. We went out for Dixie Dairy Dreem rather than dinner at home, so things were skewed along with the fact I slept until noon after I got off phone at 5:40 DTM. Maybe I need to sleep six or less hours to merit a nap, but my mind wanted one as I drove to work. Meh, it's my weekend now.
I think I know what's for dinner and I know Mr. Selfridge is scheduled, but the rest of Monday depends on how the stars align. Tuesday only has Agents of SHIELD as a definite maybe. All depends on how the stars align... I would hope to get up and about before the kindergarten bus motors through but I have to be on the ball at 6 DMT to consider that. Well I have coffee made in the Aladdin so I may have a go if the alignment of balls of gas in distant places dictate as much. I just don't want to be sucked into place that makes feel me like a bad parent when time comes unstuck.

April, Where did you go?

First of April was when I figured I needed to follow up a seemingly discontinued conversation from mid-March. My wrists and hands were feeling fine, I just hadn't had a reply. It was like my letter writing days of old, where I'd be waiting for each day's mail delivery for a reply, only to be disappointed when nothing came that day.

Snail Mail meant one chance a day, six days a week, while email could be anytime or any moment or whenever.

The 24/7 effect is like time standing still, if you are expecting something that is beyond your control.

The anxieties of today are acerbated by the expectation of change at a moment's notice.

Patience is gone and is replaced by frustration.

Being connected is a hindrance to progress towards things within one's control.

Does time management exist for a person with an obsessive personality like mine?

The mind cannot do two things at once, and multitasking is a delusion according academic studies at places like Stanford.

Anyways, to my surprise, I got a reply that first day of April to the effect that I was the guilty party. I am bothered for how did I never get an email?  Perhaps my sent email never get read, somehow?

If someone is reading my email and deleting stuff, I'd know since my email is copied via various forwarding processes that leaves a trace that only I and the NSA know it leaves.

I'm just gonna let the thought pass, and move forward. It is May, after all!

Annoyed

Spent some of the day watching the kids on their bikes. The helmet we bought B before X-mas and hadn't taken out of packaging until today because it was yucky out all winter was missing part of its chin strap, making it unusable.

K painted his pinewood derby car. It will need repainted. He lacks patience and concentration when things aren't about Star Wars.

Work was busy today, so I was busy cleaning up. Some days I hate it, but it's mostly because I have aches from it.. It's a workout, so I will adjust.
