J and D stayed home. They were in the way of DJ's routine, but who are we to complain if we aren't sick while they are?
Made for an annoying day, but the magicJack saga has hit the point of my being belligerent. Wasted another couple hours on chat with magicJack and calling Cincy Bell. Talk about perfect storm of ineptitude. MagicJack toook too long to port number so it wasn't available from Cincinnati Bell due to deactivation. The latter doesn't prorate so I submitted port 10 days before CB invoice period ended. MJ failed to port after I submitted it four times. Spoke with chatbot each time for an hour only to be told to talk to CB for another hour... failure to communicate is the MO of both communications companies I can firmly attest. I just wanna Yelp! A blue streak to convey my displeasure.

Wednesday that isn't like normal
I worked Monday to get that pay difference and now I feel like it's Tuesday. Things to do and my body isn't in the mood. The whole phone search has lead me to think a certain Android may be best option for my CB needs, but having a conversation with someone who dislikes said phone because it's Android is typical of the endeavor to upgrade past the CB barriers.
I just tried to read Time online. It gave me a headache. Maybe it's not meant to be read on a laptop(LT)? Anyways, the article(IC) was derivative of everything I just read in TLAF, which I felt was derivative of all things I read of late(ATIROL)... anyways(AW) I didn't have the will to finish a couple paragraphs of said Time IC. I felt like I wasted my time on Time, so I questioned my trusting the source by which my interest was piqued.
Total FB fail.
I need to get myself organizized(MOZD). Phones and cars are the white noise of distraction(WND)... I so dislike shopping for upgrades, but contentment BE DAMNED(BD)!
Words bored me. I am going to make new ones or abbreviate old ones to fit my idiosyncrasies(MI) better. I'll use the label Dylan Speak(DYLS) to highlight this occurrence for future reference(FR).

thoughts about phones
Having a landline is quaint. Smartphones are the standard. Back in the day Nokia was big, then Blackberry, then Apple iPhones... the idea of minutes and long distance are becoming novel ideas as well.
I've never held a smartphone. I was slow to embrace texting three years ago, so a qwerty handset with a meh camera that looked like the old Blackberries is what I've had since we got a texting plan.
EMPs would do more damage to America than a dirty bomb given the dependence upon personal entertainment devices, one could conclude. Reminds me of a novel I was writing that I had only finished the final page. The premise was that the V-chip was a small detonator meant to kill anyone within a couple yards of the television when a universal detonator went off. Clever idea? Dr. Who had something similiar only an antipolution device terraformed Earth's atmosphere habitable to aliens and not humans.
I wonder how much the factory workers make in China. Way things get depicted, a cellphone is the product of all things evil, yet we all most have one.

$115 question
So I work at a place that has a customer centric bonus system, which since am not around customers disqualifies me from bonuses. I get paid a flat hourly rate and time and a half on observed holidays.
Anyways a guy isn't around anymore so rather than give him his bonus, I got it. Wasn't expected an Amazon gift card, and I am not going to turn down $.
Think we'll use it towards new phones. I'm not sure I really want a smart phone given I don't want to be like those people at parks absorbed into their phones, but peer pressure dictates a change. I'm not going to spend much more on a plan until I feel comfortable with my finances, so I'm really just putting my toe into the smartphone realm.
