being a father takes a different perspective now that my own is gone. he wasn't a bad dad, but there were many things he could have done to be better. i have a lot of his lousy traits, but I've got him beat on quite a few in that i don't smoke or drink because i love my kids enough to not want to be passed out and such.
he wasn't always such a jerk but he became consumed with extreme views. he was afraid of dying and was a cheap man, so naturally he supported slavery when it came to health care providers being forced to provided care for every ailment with no expense to him.
he never seemed to figure out the maxim, "you get what you pay for."
anyways, i took B to the My Guy and Me Dance for Girl Scouts. It snowed so I wasn't wearing anything too nice. I know nothing about dance, so I wasn't going to be busting a move. She had fun. Could have been better if I could do basic dance stuff without prompting. Is there a class for useless dads who want to not embarrass their daughters on the dance floor?
