Stop Watching Us, the above public service announcement is rather interesting, if you don't listen to it. Either a lot of WHITE celebrities are upset with Richard Nixon being president, or they are upset about being gawked at for being ugly has-beens.

They can't help themselves - they complain about Nixon but can't bring themselves to say anything about the Obama administration. We're Hollywood liberals... people that criticize Obama are racists. They even show the whistleblowers without mentioning this administration has tried to prosecute more whistleblowers than any other administration. If there was a Republican President their name would be all over this video.

You only think it doesn't personally affect you. What's sad is that you actually think that. It doesn't matter what you are saying on AIM. It doesn't matter if you never commit a crime. It doesn't matter if you aren't doing anything wrong. IT IS AGAINST YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS AND THAT SHOULD BOTHER YOU!

When one has to fear for every word they speak, type or where we go on the internet...Democracy is dead. We then become a police state- you end up living similar to the era's of Stalin, Hitler and countless other regimes in the world today. America is set to be the next epic failure...if you allow it by your apathy, ignorance and believing the shat spewed out of your governments mouths.

Obama himself is affected by spy activities; also Congress-members and federal judges. I think, chances are very very low, that they ordered their own observation. Every intelligent person better asks who has an interest in spying highest levels of democratic institutions /- persons. And wether this is lawful or not. Are they controlled? By Scientology? (sry). By an other (totalitarian) organisation? Is the US Army under democratic control?

Good luck with that! The British GCHQ does way more surveillance than NSA and it assists the NSA. The Brits have mass surveillance without warrants, and there is no constitution that you can an appeal to. Under UK anti-terror laws you can be locked up and repeatedly questioned by police for up to 14 days without being charged or told why you were there. I moved to America 30+ years ago to get away from that kind of police state.

Be real! It would take a mega force of investigators to listen to everyone's conversation. If you figured 3 investigators 8 hour shift each per 1 person. It would be three times our population. That's impossible. They don't even know what to do! with the current information that currently have. Be realistic. There's no one in the government to keep track of everyone and you. The only thing possible is computer tracking equipment that will pick up a threat to any high ranking individuals.

If you think about it, we've spent billions fighting terrorists who've spent merely millions to hurt us. We've killed or displaced more people than we've lost in 9/11 and afterward. We're paranoid, suspicious, and afraid. Our morale, economy, and sense of self-worth as a country have all taken huge blows.
In a way, the terrorists have already won.

And I find it amusing that Americans appear to thinks that the NSA using catchall monitoring on them is unacceptable, and yet until that was revealed the remit of the NSA to snoop on everyone else in the world was just fine. But at least you have supposed constitutional protections of your freedom. Here in the UK GCHQ or any other agency can do pretty much anything they like behind closed doors.

The point being that the Nixon era demonstrates unquestionably that it has happened before, was proven to be detrimental, was vowed that it should not be allowed to happen again, and yet still it IS happening. Nixon represents the foundation of the argument. It is not the President that matters, so much as the incursion itself.

This is so surreal, I'm still in shock and trying to figure out what I can do technically to escape their eyes. SOD-Special Operation Division-arrested people on drug charges and lied about how they got the info. . Blackmail from what Thomas Drake and Binney said. . Signed into law by Cheney and lengthened and strengthened by Obama. . Breaking US Constitutional AMMENDMENT . Getting away with perjury . etc, the list goes on and on. So sorry, if I'm still trying to understand this.

So if this actually results in anything, if you can get the NSA, CIA, FBI, and other factions of the US Gov to stop spying on it's population does your fight stop there? Do you then allow them to keep spying on the rest of the citizens of the world, just as illegally? Or would this once again be a case of American exceptionalism? One more example of how the US see's it populace as a higher value than the rest of the Earth? Legitimately curious.

From the day that cell phones first became available to the public, the NSA has had the ability to intercept everyone's calls. This is not a democrat thing, or a republican thing nor a liberal nor a conservative thing.
It is the permanent government of the US doing it. People who do not have to run for election nor do they really have to answer to anyone. And it's just the tip of the iceberg.
Welcome to the real world honey. Are you ready to see how deep the hole goes?

Every president since at least Kennedy is culpable, so anyone saying "oh they showed Nixon but not Obama" or "people bitch about Obama but what about Bush?" yall are completely missing the point.
Power corrupts.
What's the goal here? Stop ppl from spying on each other? Make the info available to everyone? Where are yall drawing the line? AND how you gonna police it? Privacy is an illusion. Only reason no one's watching me is no one cares. That could change in an instant and I can't stop it.

The NSA are psychopaths. Rallying and petitions etc, all of the Left's usual methods, are not going to work; because they rely on the opposition having a conscience. The NSA do not; they are monsters.
As such, there is only one way to deal with them, and that is to securely incarcerate them, in terms of the senior administrators at least, for the rest of their lives. Virtually everyone in the senior American government is an incurable psychopath, and should be behind bars.

So get prepared America because the time is approaching where god forbid we might have to repeat history and do as our forefathers did. If we don't, we are pissing on the graves of those who died.

Because Oliver Stone who's a personal friend of Fidel Castro who actually instituted people to watch each other and break each other's privacy in Cuba is in it. So I cannot give this video any credit when one of the people here has actually shown with HIS actions that he SUPPORTS surveillance when it is convenient for him.

What's really pathetic about the people who still hate Bush but defend Obama in this "us" vs. "them" team sport is that they don't realize that Obama was essentially a CIA infiltrator of the grassroots left on behalf of the CIA--essentially, he's from the same fascist cabal as the Bushes.
No links on youtube so look up the William Blum article entitled "Barack Obama, his mother, and the CIA" from July 5, 2012, on boilingfrogspost

I think the message went over your head. The reason they are bringing up Nixon is because the Watergate scandal cost him his career in the white house. Todays government is doing the same thing, on a grander scale, so there should be larger outcry and it should be costing them their jobs, just as it did Nixon.

Here's something to ponder: How often does Google serve up ads that are completely wrong for you? Do you believe that the NSA has better algorithms than Google?
How many people are being investigated, are put on no fly lists, have difficulty getting needed pain medications all because the NSA draws incorrect conclusions from your data?
How many people are targeted for death by drone because of something innocent that was misconstrued?

"It was wrong then, it was wrong now." They are comparing evil. All of these actors have spoken out against Obama. This is a great, relevant and timely video. Share it and stfu :)
(Sorry jk - but seriously). The video is clearly about today. Problems we are facing now - not the nixon era. Oliver called Obama a snake we need to turn against. The majority of others had equally poetic names.

Because this president is defending them tooth and nail. Using public money to do so. Right now this administration is attempting to block cases from going to court. The NSA has never in its history violated the constitutional rights of Americans as they are currently, under this president. A president who guaranteed in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 to stop such abuse.

Nixon is a "villain" to a certain demographic this video aims to rile up: the elderly. If they accurately point out Obama it will be lost as another anit-Obama campaign. It's been proven for years that attacking Obama to any degree is polarizing, and turns people off. They're being smart about it.

You know what upsets me is that the Carlyle group makes most of all it's profits from this intelligence what ex prez is part of that group, he was also the head of what department? What current Prez work for Business International Corporation that was a front for who? So many other links that it doesn't matter anymore

Fuck Bush..... I was at every protest I could go to against Bush and his illegal spying. Obama promised in non-ambiguous terms he would end it. However, it expanded beyond everyone's wildest dream. It was as unconstitutional then as it is now. Obama is defending and championing the NSA. Now he must address it or he must go. PS? EFF, ACLU, EPIC were all fighting bush as well.

And, Sadly, Character does matter. People screamed about Bush's intrusion, although there Never was a story about him bullying Anyone for Any Reason, except, in other countries. But it was WRONG, PRECISELY because of people like 0bummer and both sides of congress.
And now, worshipers of Zer0 see bullying broadcast at everyone for the most petty reasons, saying, "It is all for the greater good", or, "It's the fault of others". In that is implied both deific trust and dismissed incompetence.

He's not getting a free pass because all of this is probably legal, at the very least, it is until we here from the Supreme Court and theres no telling how they will decide. The case law is too long to go into but suffice to say, we need a digital privacy law that protects information that people voluntarily give over the digital medium from government collection.

I agree, their monkey warrant court & massive intentional ignorance of the 4rth amendment is a huge problem. The digital age doesn't make loopholes, the 4th still applies to digital property just as any other property. "
But don't make a joke of this endeavor, go after the private sector too, for colluding with the NSA. Companies we trust with our info shouldn't just be shovelling it up for any one who asks with an illegal warrant. Corporations need to protect themselves from the NSA too.

Wait a sec. Didn't some of these morons in the video vote for Obama?
June 07, 2013 “I think it’s important to recognize that you can’t have 100 per cent security and also then have 100 per cent privacy and zero inconvenience,”president Obama told the crowd while delivering several minutes of unscripted remarks about the NSA.
You voted for him now deal with it.

I don't want to be a bummer but... This is becoming a worldwide problem.
There is no doubt other countries have similar abuses of power going on in their government. This isn't an issue that we can simply fix through legislation, or through protests. We'll have to change the mentality of the population as a whole. These sort of ''big brother'' actions are going to become more and more part of the norm, unless we change the core of the system that allows it to happen...

Love it,DC Rally this coming Saturday.
So,if a person knows that they've been gps tagged, have incoming audio-so can assume that they are also broadcasting back to someone unknown, how can one feel secure in their homes or persons?
The NSA surveillance that they mention in the video is only the tip of the iceberg, and American democracy is what is at stake.

Stop Watching Us is more than 100 Public Policy groups, but they are very adamant about not associating with those evil 'libertarians'. Those who have been championing Privacy Rights since the Founding, not just since it became fashionable since last week.
Snowden apparently contributed to Ron Paul's campaign. Ask yourselves why?

Israeli owned satellite facilities collect the data right here in America.
RrSat America, Hawley, PA
RrSat Global, Tel Aviv, Israel
Owned by Kardan, Rapac, Del-Ta, Tanhum Oren & David Rivel,
follow corporate ownership and board members up the ladder, and I find more than a few former Mossad members and a Brigadier General in the IDF, market manipulators, big Israeli investors from Israel's top banks(such as IDB), connections to the Israeli banking scandal of the 1980's, charges of insider trad

There are traitors in our midst. That or foreigners want us to be tracked. Why else would anyone downvote a video such as this,
There are people paid to be here and tell you this is crap but this is clearly our lives and ourworld at stake here.
Sweat now so we don't bleed later. Make this stop.

I personally find it humorous that you equated Nixon being shown in the video as the EFF placing all the blame on"evil republicans". He was shown in this video message due to his involvement in wiretapping the DNC. Watergate may have been 41 years ago but it's as relevant today as it was back then.
· in reply to Durvol (Show the comment)

Durvol 12 hours ago
my point was that nothing was mentioned about who is actually doing the spying and persecuting those who call them on it. which is more relevant? Nixon 41 years ago spying on the DNC or this admin that is spying on all of us? you might want to get over Nixon and get to up to date.

You have no idea... They pay people to go on message boards and social media to derail constructive discussion ffs... I mean seriously, when you are talking about that level of crazy there's no telling where it stops. Just investigate "Operation Sockpuppet"... they have completely lost the plot folks.

personally I find it humorous that they showed video of Nixon. "the evil republican is the one behind all this snooping" how about if we honestly look at who is controlling all this. we need to put political parties aside. we need to call out who is responsible. how about we do that? Nixon was a LONG time ago. I think we need to look at who is doing this now. not 40 years ago. how about some honesty for a change.

So it becomes insignificant then? That could lead to a bigger destruction and threat. I believe that there is a way to filter the fluoride. Look it up and do it.

I'm guessing that's because it is meant to rally people to go to Washington. There are a lot more US people who may be willing/able to do that than non-US ones, so that's who they target.
