J got Fun Some Nights out from work the other day. It's in the Journey, since we don't really listen to music in the house, and J has been driving the Journey of late to work. I don't care for Fun. I think they sound like Supertramp. J is like, "How old are you?"
Not sure if it's the fad element, but I don't care for any of their songs on the radio. I wish I could discuss music in a critical manner to explain my complaints beyond merely saying "they suck."
Anyways, I find myself mentally singing to myself to not think of the noise they produce. I started thinking of the Vaselines and how their one of songs was the theme song of my last months of high school. I haven't listened to them since my last desk job. Amazingly, I didn't realize that I owned all of their songs on The Way of the Vaselines. Just looked them up for the first time ever on Wikipedia. I have had my copy of the cd since October 18, 1996, according to the stamp from Used Kids. If I'm not mistaken, that's the same day my brother crushed a couple of his fingers.
Not sure why I mention these things, aside from the fact that they distract me from the misery that Fun induces with their crappy songs.
