Reflecting upon the weekend

I got plenty of sleep. Friday J got off early and we had lunch at Max and Erma's for my birthday. I hadn't had a Philly Cheese Steak in a while so that's what I wanted and that's why we ate at Max and Erma's.

The food was good, but my sandwich was on the small side. Nothing fell from it unto my plate, and I still felt hungry after finishing it. Thankfully they gave me a load of fries, or I would have been had to order another sandwich.

I'm not remotely into football at the moment, so maybe I'll give it up for the season. I certainly have enough to do without an unproductive hobby like watching football. I'm almost burnt out on baseball, but that's only due to my team sputtering of late. Their season is usually over by August, so the pending October implications is something I've not had in the last couple decades.

As I said, I slept a bit this weekend. J and the kids are very nice with that regard, but it's probably out of respect of my birthday weekend. J has been very good sport about my being tired regardless. Would be nice to have a normal job that didn't make me worry about numbness or aches and pains related to physical labor.
