I am not surprised that my beloved Pirates have done poorly so far this month. They have played teams with actual winning records without a key player being MIA.
The starting pitching has sunk.
Having a position player hitting as badly as a pitcher in the pre universal DH days START is just dumb.
They may not win a whole lot, but the NL Central division isn't looking super great at the moment.
Not '97 comedy central, but this team has some rough edges and internals that can improve to be competitive.
Austin Hedges needs axed. Endy at Indy would be an upgrade. That's an extra base runner each night.
