Unfriending people

Okay, I have a love hate relationship with Facebook. I mostly hate it, but there are moments I don't mind it. I mostly like using it to chat with people, but I really don't care to talk to most people, so it defeats the purpose.
I've had a few accounts. I closed a couple because I got annoyed too much by "friends."
The last account was a professional thing, so I friended more liberally than normally.
I weeded people at one point but it got too difficult to unfriend people. Facebook simply changed their means of doing things too often.
Today, I saw somethings that prompted me to weed again. Things are only gonna get worse between now and November.
