COVID strikes again

The Marching Band daughter is now recovered. Her brother tested positive Thursday the 4th and her sister tested positive this morning.

I'm not remotely surprised given that CLOTH MASKS DON'T PREVENT THE SPREAD OF VIRUSES!

I'm glad I didn't pass the virus, and can be a "I told you so" about masks not working since I actually remained isolated during my quarantine period.

At least the variant the kids got was less debilitating than what I had. My son seemed to only have a headache and sore throat while the youngest is perked up and playing on her computer as long as she has ibuprofen in her.

I can't stay home with the kids or go to work tomorrow. I have to report for jury duty at 8:15 am.

I'm hopeful I will get excused early as I have a horrible fear of getting a headache. It only occurred to me yesterday that I won't be able to wear a hat or sunglasses, so the lighting at the courthouse might trigger a full-blown migraine. Photophobia is real, but it's not exactly easy to prove and to get a doctor's note to get out of jury duty.
