The forecasted Heat Index being 110°, options for today were either Pizza or Roosters. We've gift cards galore for the latter since my mom gives them to us adults for Mother's day, Father's Day and our birthdays.
I still had a stellar rewards from Marcos Pizza, though the local location is now 15 minutes away rather than 5. The app used to allow scheduling a specific time, but now has ASAP listed only. It takes 15 minutes to make the pizzas, so I have to rush to get them fresh. I had to place 2 separate orders to best utilize my reward, and save $6 extra more than the $1 if I did a single order.
Normally, pizza is $10.49 for a medium, but if you go through their online ad, you can select $7.99 for 1 topping medium pizza. We usually get 4 medium pizzas, which would cost over $40, but I get for $32 with the online maneuver.
Seriously, it's a maneuver... I have to do a Google search for the place and select that price from the page that shows up. Once you select the $7.99 pizza, there's no means to add another at that price, unless you save your order to your profile, open a new tab, Google Marcos coupon, select page, click on the offer from page, etc. FOUR different times.
It's obvious they don't want you to get your pizza at a discount. The sale price is not listed from their app. It's only on their webpage if your going through a Google search.
Seems I am wrong about having to go the Google route each time, but we had tried and this was the only method that worked. I just did some looking and found the discount hidden deeper in the menu. It's almost as inconvenient as doing the Google search 4 times.
Anyways, if you have an account, you earn points. For every $ you spend, you get a point. When you reach 100 points, you get $10 off your order. Of course, you CANNOT use the $10 off with another discount, hence I make 2 separate orders.
I got 4 medium pizzas for less than $25. Seems wrong on some level, especially given the other Marcos went out of business, but we're in a recession and have inflation too... EVERY DOLLAR SAVED is worth the minimal effort I did.
