School Bus

It's been a while since I had to wait at the bus stop, but with B in kindergarten, I am at it again. K could walk her home without my waiting since he's on the bus and is her sibling, but K can barely take care of himself when it comes to crossing the street. Smart boy, but he's on a different plane of thought that revolves around his interests.. Never thought I'd hate Star Wars, but his conversations almost always involves something relating to Star Wars. It gets old after 5 years. He never talked about trains/Thomas 24/7 when he was in that phase. There's worse things, I suppose.
Anyways, B is the first one off the bus, and today she gave my legs the biggest hug once she got of the last bus step. I totally wasn't expecting it. Not sure if K ever hugged me getting off the bus back when he was B's age, but I'll surely remember the feeling I felt today for a very long time.
I may have failed at getting into my field of study, but by doing so I have spent more time with my kids. Normally, J gets their attention but by default, I get it more than I deserve. My kids need me, so I have purpose regardless of what I do for a living.
