As a life long Buccos fan, I dislike the Atlanta Braves.
Last July I stayed up to see a game blown after 19 innings. The Pirates were in the play off hunt, and they folded following that game in Atlanta.
This season, they finished a rough April in Atlanta with a win to be 10-12, when a year earlier they were 12-15 on May 1st.
They had great pitching with an era of 3.64 to start the season last year, and surprisingly, they have a team era of 2.78 this spring. No one on the Brewers pitching staff is currently below 3.00, and the Brewers won the division last year.
Two teams have a better ERA. Pirates have not been able to score runs, hence the losing record.
Hopefully, they get some timely hitting and are able to have a positive May.
They play Milwaukee June 1, and they have had a hard time against the Brew Crew the last decade or so.
