The fundamentals of baseball need to be heeded to not lose ugly. Errors. Blowing a large lead. Definitely, not a one off if the team plays as it looks it should on paper. I want to believe they don't suck, but nothing stands out about the team to say they're anything special. Expecting dumb luck to prevail throughout 162 games is beyond wishful thinking. Pirates aren't a good team when they aren't playing divisional cellar dwellers.
