Another nail in a rear passenger tire

We were going to go to the outlet mall this afternoon, so Jenn asked if I could get her sunglasses out of her car(the Passat). As I got in the garage, I looked at her rear tire. Out of habit, I look. Sure enough, there's a gleaming nail sticking out of the outer tread.

The Atlas has had 2 nails this year in said tire. Also this year, the Journey had a nail in said tire.

FOUR NAILS IN 2022!

The first Atlas tire had to be replaced. I took it to Tire Discounters and was there a couple hours. It was a tire that came with car, but it wasn't under warranty, so paid full price. When it got another nail, I paid for hazard upgrade($20) and they plugged it.

The Journey's tires were from Grismer, and they plugged it for nothing because it was under warranty.

The Passat's tires were bought in January from Sam's Club. I called around 2:45 and got a 3 o'clock appointment. I had to pay $20 for installation of the new tire, and that's all.

I wasn't sure about Sam's tire department since they never answer the phone, but I got the main Sam's operator to physically go to them and they hooked me up with an instant appointment. They were busy, but I was back home again in less than 90 minutes after talking with them.

A kid who used to live across the street from us 11 years ago was the guy behind the Sam's Tire counter. I didn't recognize him until he said he used to live on my street and I read his name badge. Kid is an adult and looks just like his mom but with blond hair. Weirdly, I was recently wondering about that family since the house sold again last month.
