It's been cold lately. My Neon has been parked in the garage since I noticed the headlight out, but the attached garage is not heated. Though it's much warmer than being outside, the garage is still the coldest place in the house. After being annoyed with the resistance the headlight housing was giving me to sliding back into place, it occurred to me that a space heater may make the fascia more malleable to reinsertion.
After a few moments of being warmed, the headlight went in without having to be muscled in.
The passenger side wasn't easy to go in when I did it in the Spring, and that side has a lot more room to maneuver the headlight and coincidentally is the side always featured in the Youtube tutorials.
