In June 2002, a sitting president gave a commencement speech at OSU. In the fall, the Buckeyes went 14-0 and won the BCS, in Jim Tressel's second season as head coach.
Ohio State went undefeated in 2012, but Jim Tressel's legacy withheld them from the post season. Urban Meyer has yet to lose a game as OSU's head coach, so perhaps history will repeat itself this fall.
