Not sure when exactly it started, but my speedometer is inaccurate. I noticed in October that I was going 80 mph and barely staying with the flow of traffic, then I happened to look at the GPS I happened to have with me that said I was going about 70 mph. I was driving to an interview, which was why I had the GPS and why I was on a highway which exceeds the speeds of 50 mph, thus making the discrepancy noticeable.
I usually drove the car to and from B's school. No one goes above the speed limit on the way there, so I wouldn't have anyone whizzing by me or even tailgating me for that matter.
I should get it fixed, but I don't really feel like putting the money into the car for something that isn't dire. It's just an annoyance when figuring out what sort of gas mileage I'm getting since I'm driving less than my odometer says I've traveled. I'll never get great mileage if I'm idling while waiting to drop off and pick up B four days a week.
