Read an article on CNN with the headline: Sheriff: Father kills man sexually abusing his daughter
Skimming the article, I read that a family lived on a ranch and was out looking out their horses during a social gathering when the father came into the house and found his FOUR YEAR OLD DAUGHTER being sexually assaulted by a horse grooming guest. The Texas father repeatedly punched the man in the head to supposedly halt the assault, and the attacker died from his injuries.
I have a four year old daughter, and I don't know what I'd do if I were in the situation described in the article. The article says the man feels remorse for killing the attacker since he didn't intend to kill him. I'd feel worse for not preventing the incident in the first place.
A parent worries about a lot of things, and stranger dangers should be on the top of the list. There are enough sickos out there that seem to be normal that we let our guard down within the walls of our homes only to fail our children's trust.
The above has nothing in common with the Jerry Sandusky case as far as I can tell. Jerry Sandusky seems to be like Humbert Humbert.
