Yesterday, J was hot front not having working A/C, so we went for ice cream.
Normally, we go to Bellbrook and get
Dairy Shed, but J had a coupon for
Dixie Dairy Dreem, which is also a bit closer to us.
I've driven by
Dixie Dairy Dreem hundreds of times, but never thought I'd ever stop there. It's in Moraine, and we never really go to Moraine because it's essentially a wasteland ever since GM left. With the decent jobs gone, so has much of the area.
Even without the coupon,
Dixie Dairy Dreem was reasonable on prices. J said it was better tasting than
Dairy Queen, but not quite as good as
Dairy Shed.I don't care. I like ice cream, but I don't discern much difference between vanilla dipped in chocolate between the three places.
Today, it was MUCH warmer than yesterday. We had the
A/C replaced in the afternoon, but the house took a while to cool down.
The
Sycamore Trails Aquatic Center was having Twilight Family Fun Night, so I was dragged by J, K, & B to the pool. I don't like pools, but I don't mind S.T.A.C., since it's very close and I can walk home if the situation merited it.
K & I did the water slide in a two-person raft a couple times. Then I hung with B while K went diving with J. Mostly calm and relaxing just keeping an eye on B. K went to the sand area, and the three of us stayed in the shallow area. Eventually we all went to the sand area.
It got darker, and K wanted concessions. I said to him that the money was in the J's purse which was in a locker, but K still went to look. Seeing the prices, I told him that
Dixie Dairy Dreem was much cheaper. I said as much to J, so we left for
DDD before it closed at ten.
