word from Chicago

Friended a handful of friends from my former life recently. I sent messages to some after being accepted. Finally heard from one today after a week or so. I guess writing snail mail is dead but responses to my "instant" mail is mostly just as slow, aside from my favorite people, of course.

I need a smart phone to keep up with some.

Anyways:

Friend was writing a novel that borrowed upon my personality for one of its characters. Book project has been shelved due to too much being cliche.
