Not sure why I like baseball so much. I wasn't very good when I played Pinto League. Being the coach's son tends to make a kid better than average.
I wonder if there's any studies on the phenomenon. Sure, coaches will favor their children over others, but the extra attention equals more practice and an advantage.
Talent will overcome the limits met when practice causes limited ability to plateau.
Being good at the fundamentals is what I'm talking about.
Being the coach's son got old, but I think I quit baseball because I was a year ahead of everyone due to my birthday being after the cutoff. Sucked being the only 3rd grader playing with 1st and 2nd graders.
I got my first pair of glasses in 3rd grade. I didn't like wearing them.
