J's cousin had been married ever since I joined the family. Sadly, his wife passed last week after a long fight with cancer.
J's family is small. We used to gather for holidays and birthdays, but when the cousin's twin sons got older, dynamics changed in our gatherings.
Hadn't seen them in a few years. The boys were babies at our wedding. They're 21 now.
The funeral visitation was 4:30-7 on a Friday. We got there with Grandma at 5 to be met with a line out the door of the funeral home.
The line was still to the door a couple hours later.
This woman was had many celebrations and meals at my house and I never knew how much she meant to anyone outside of the family.
I doubt a dozen people would bother to pay their respects whenever I pass, and I really don't know how to be that sort of person to have hundreds do so. I'm not wired that way.
My aura doesn't attract people like light does insects.
Though it is sad Heather is gone, she'll always be remembered as a sweet and caring person.
