Tire rotation scenario

As I mentioned recently, the battery needed replaced in our VW Atlas SE V6 4Motion w/Technology, since the car hadn't had tires rotated since we bought it, I figured it wouldn't hurt to have the rear passenger tire moved. We had 3 nails this year deflate said tire between the Atlas and the Journey. Anyways, the dealership charged for the rotation, but guess what tire was in the rear passenger spot... yup the odd one that was there before "rotation" occurred.

I called dealership and left a message Saturday and heard from them today. I got a refund. Service manager refused to concede my point around lunch when he called. He said the tires were rotated. When I countered they didn't rotate the obvious one, he said that they put the tire with most tread in the rear passenger side. When I mentioned the printout said the rear driver's side tire had more tread then the other three, he said my car needed aligned. I asked him wouldn't the car be aligned at time of being pre-owned certified? We got the car pre-owned-certified last May and it was definitely aligned in November when its dealership fixed the cruise control. He then said the car needs to be aligned EVERY YEAR.

I told him I don't trust his dealership and wanted a refund for the service since it obviously wasn't preformed. He was grumbling. He was going to talk to someone else. He made the refund sound like a non-starter.f

A few hours later, the tech that claimed to have rotated the tires called and offered the refund. He didn't say any BS. I think the fact I told his boss I was tempted to file a police report for fraud made the refund the only option.  Obviously, the boss didn't want to be the one to concede given the BS he dumped on me.

I hope to never need to go to White-Allen Volkswagen again. Kings Volkswagen is a bit of drive, but I have heard very good things about Evans Volkswagen
